Cupcake challenge - 41 - 2-2-2
Monday again and another brilliant challenge over at Cupcake. This week it's Erin's turn to set the task. This week it's all about 2, you have to include in your project 2 colors(plus a neutral), 2 shapes on the card, and 2 pieces of ribbon. And any embellishments you want. I have used some Basic Grey Wisteria papers and a cute image from the Country Girls by Sugar Nellie. I used my promarkers to colour her in.
For my colours I used sandstone, pastel blue and cream as the natural colour. I used a rectangle and a square for my shapes and some funky thread and some gold thread as my 2 ribbons. Love little craft recipes, so much fun. Looking forward to next weeks challenge. Why not have a nosy and join in. Have a good monday. I just loooove bankholiday weekends...bliss!!! Lots of hugs

A Spoonfull of Sugar / Cute Card Thursday
Sorry, have been a bad blogger. Had a mad time this week with my boys birthdays, the big boys are 6 and 8 this week and we have been superbusy catching up with pals and getting their pressies and that. Had a busy weekend last weekend with lots of kiddies parties and discos, so we are all partied out! Jed is going to his first ever party tomorrow, his best friend Darragh is turning ONE! Yay!! Anyways, here is a card I have made for two challenges this week. For A Spoonfull the challenge is called "Buttons Galore", you have to incorporate some buttons on your card. And for Cute Card this week you have to include some numbers and letters on your card. I used some superbright DCWV papers and some Papermania and Prima flowers. Some red buttons and string from stash. The sentiment is from Hero Arts ( I think....had a go at my lovely pal's superhuge assortment of sentiment stamps) and incorporates both a number and letters. For the image I used a Hanglar stamp and a Magnolia fence. I masked the Hanglar image and then stamped the fence over her. (learned this thursday and I am obsessed, it's sooo easy!!) I coloured the image in with promarkers. Really lovely day today, had a some pals over for dinner and we had a great time. Am knackered now though and need my bed. Schoolrun in the morning. Have a good week and thanks for popping by.

Spoonfull of Sugar - 50 - Touchy, Feely
OMG,can't believe it's wednesday already. Feeling great today, all kiddies are well and off to school tomorrow, and 4 days off work...waheeyy...I did have time to make a little card for this weeks Spoonfull challenge today. This weeks challenge is to make a card with texture on it. I have gone for a layered card, with lots of buttons and embellishments. I used K&Co papers (itsy bitsy), some Trimcraft ribbon, stick on bling from Kanban Crafts, headpin from Williams and some buttons, fibres and brads from stash. Had no envelope to fit this card so had to make one quickly, tried to make it look not so plain with some ribbon. This card is for a friend of a friend, whom have recently had a pair of GORGEOUS twins. (Seen the photies, they are adorable!!!) So I was commissioned to make a personalised card, so (shock, horror) no stamped image!! OMG is that the time, have to go make tea...jikes...have a good evening and thanks for coming by!

Lemonade Blog Award
Received a cute little blog award by my blogfriend Sandra last week. It was very sweet of her. She has been really lovely and helpful to me, giving me some advice that I really appreciate. Sandra is a keen cardmaker and belong to quite a few DT's and also designs stamps for a few rubber stamp companies as well as her own digi stamps. Where does she find the time??? So, why don't you go and have a nosy at her stuff. Here is her blog.
Our Creative Corner - Mother's Day
Found another interesting challenge blog I thought I'd have a go at. Over at OCC the challenge for the week is to make something for mother's day. I have decided to make a granny's boasting book. What better to give a granny, so she can brag over her grandchildren with a little book of photies. The DP are from K&Co (Faded China), looove these papers sooo much but have used all of them now...(boohooo...and it was a 12 by 12 inch pad aswell..)Also used some ribbon from Anita's and Trimcraft and some stick on bling from Kanban Crafts. The image is one of my own stamp designs (see that granny has twin grandchildren, and I couldn't find another stamp with a boy and a girl on it), I coloured them in with promarkers. (Luca and Nellie, Sugar Nellie)For the sentiment I used my Studio G mini alphabet cube. The plain grey and white cardstock is from the papermill in Aberdeen. This boasting book also folds out to form a star. I learned this little project last christmas, my talented friend Tracy taught me how to do a snazzy little chrimbo book. I love learning new things, and I must say I do use the projects I have learned over and over again. Right I am away, this is the fifth post for me today....OMG, have gone craft mad. Have a nice evening!
Secret Crafter- 30 - Flowers
Stumbled on this fun challenge blog called Secret Crafter, so I just had to join in. This weeks challenge is "flowers", to use some on your card ie embellishments or papers etc. I have made a card with a "secret" flap. (very fitting since the challenge is called "secret" crafter...lol...) I used a cute Tilda image and coloured her in promarkers. Used Making Memories papers (love the colours!) some prima flowers, brads from Papermania, bradbeads that a lovely pal gave me and some Kanban stick on bling. For the sentiment I used my little mini alphabet cube from Studio G. On the inside of the flap I have cut out a number 8 on my cricut machine, since this card is for my friends adorable little girl. She is 8 on the 17th. Really enjoyed this challenge, I just can't get enough of them today...but it's raining so suppose what else could I do than craft...lol... thanks for having a nosy.
Cute card Thursday - 58 - Mirror, Mirror.
Another fun challenge over at Cute Card Thursday this week. The challenge is to use something shiny. I have made a card and a cardbox with a peep throught feature (with looots of shiny, shiny glitter...lol..am like a magpie) The DP are from Papermania, the ribbons from Trimcraft, the stick on bling are from Kanban Crafts. For the sentiment I used my new (absolutely knackered the other one) Studio G alphabet cube. The glitter is from my kids craftbox (sorry, boys, I'll get you some more...and I promise it won't be pink...lol..) For the images I used Gorjuss girls stamps from Sugar Nellie. The one of the box I coloured in with promarkers. The one on the inside card I coloured with copic ciao markers ( my very nice friend let me have a go of hers) Always wanted to make a card with a box with a peep through feature. All I did was cover a little box, that I cut a hole in on the front, with paper. I punched a round hole in the paper before I adhered it and when it was all covered, I inserted a see through bag with glitter to the inside of the box. Easy, peasy. Had a great time making my "shiny" card. Thanks for looking!

I have used a sitting Tilda with a bee. I coloured her in with promarkers. Love this image, have used her quite a lot since my nice friend Jenny stamped me loads of these. For the DP I have used some from We R Memorykeepers and some from DCWV. The flower embellishments are all cut out of the paper and layered. The ribbon is recycled from an old chrimbo card. The pearl headpins are from Williams, the stick on bling is from Kanban Crafts and the little heartcharm I found in my stash box so have no idea where it is from..sorry...Had a great time making this card, can't wait to participate in next weeks challenge. Have a good saturday!

The DP papers are from Prima (Perfect panda...looove them...need more!!)The angel charm and the funky ribbon I got given from a good friend of mine. The stick on jewels and alphabet beads are purchased on Ebay. Used a SU punch to punch out the flowers from the papers for the corners of the image. Had a great time making my thank you card.
