My friend Sarah
Had an exciting morning today with my friend Sarah, that has her own woolen shop in local village of Aberlour. We set up her first ever blog and it was so much fun to see how excited she was and how pleased she was with her first posts.
I am very pleased to have got to know Sarah. She is a funloving, hardworking single mother of four gorgeous boys. She opened her shop in may 2008 and has the most amazing things in the shop.
The shop has wool and creations on every surface. From cealing to floor is a mixture of gorgeous wool, handcrafted items ie designer clothing, knitted and crochet animals, beaded and knitted brooches, and ofcourse patterns and books galore. You name it, she has got it. Sarah is very much into fairtrade aswell, so there is plenty of fairtrade products.
Sarah also runs a "knit and natter" group on tuesdays in the near cafe called Fresh. She has lots of regular ladies and they seem to have a fantastic time making creations and nattering.
Sarah is a lovely lady. She is an inspiration to us all. She seems to juggle her boys, the shop and the housework (yes there is housework aswell at the end of a working day...yawn..)like a breeze. She opened her shop and made it soo funky and attractive, you just can't miss it in Aberlour. In front of the shop she has made a adorable life size sheep dressed up in a hat and wellies. It's such a talking point and adds such an interest to the street.
So why don't you go and have a look at her beautiful creations and the zillions of different types of wool she stocks on her website or check out her life on her blog. Have a lovely evening.
