Friday Sketchers - 45
Am having a busy week now when it's holidays for the kids. Managed to finally make a card for this weeks friday sketchers, and I was even later this week, so I am not doing too bad...lol...for this week I have used a cute Magnolia Tilda image and some little cute Magnolia ladybirds (so cute with the lace). I used DCWV (the sweet stack) DP and some ribbon from Trimcraft. Such a lovely day today, it surely feels like spring. My OH is going away with his band on wednesday and will be gone for the whole hols, so I am going to be busy entertaining the boys. We didn't realise his european tour was during the holidays, but it's fine. It's been booked for months, and he'll have a great time. And hopefully he'll bring me some european craft stash. Have a great week.

Spoonfull of Sugar / Daring cardmakers
This card I made this afternoon and I have incorporated two challenges in this card. For this weeks Spoonfull the challenge was "Easter" and for Daring it was "bunnies and chicks" (or just a bunny or a chick...lol..) I used a cute Penny Black stamped image that I was given by one of my lovely swap buddies. I coloured the image in with promarkers. Not sure but think the papers are from Making Memories. A good pal gave me a stack and said most of them were from there, but if I have it wrong...sorry..The flowers are cut out from the paper and the paperbeads are also made from the same DP. The ribbon is from Trimcraft, the headpins I bought in my fav local craft shop Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin. The white cardstock is from the Papermill in Aberdeen. Thanks for having a nosy and I am away to stuff my face with chocolate...mwah!! Hugs!!
Doubledutch challenges/ Cute card thursday
Lovely sketch over at DD this fortnight. They always have the most amazing sketches and I must admit I use them quite a lot when I make cards for people. I combined this sketch challenge with this weeks Cute Card thursday challenge which is "family affair", you have to make a card for someone in your family. For this card I have used my own stamps, which I design for Sugar Nellie. I used a anchor from the Totally Tattoos line and a Karate Luca from the Nellie and Luca line. I coloured these in with promarkers and made a crackled glass effect on them. A technique I have used LOADS after learning it over at the Sugar Bowls monthly challenge, Sugar Sugar. I used some papers that I think are from Making Memories (they were a gift and are sooo cute for boys) I also made some paperbeads (Marlenes fab tutorial is also avaliable at Sugar Sugar) and the ribbon is from Trimcraft and little metal beads you can get on Ebay. Oh, got another couple of posts to go up, so thanks for looking and I am off. Hugs!
Papertake Weekly - Dawny's sketch 11
Another lovely sketch by Dawny this week over at PTW. I used some Dovecraft papers and a cute Tilda image. I coloured her in with promarkers and heatembossed the image on textured paper to make the "speckled" effect. The flowers I cut out of the paper. Buttons , stick on pearls and ribbon are all from Ebay. Plain paperstock from the Papermill in Aberdeen. Can't believe it's the Easter holidays allready!!Scary how fast time goes. Have a nice weekend.

Had to do this weeks Cupcake, even though my entry probably won't count, since I now am a proud DT member...(I am sooo excited) I have made my monster card a Halloween one (looove halloween) and I used some papers I got given as a pressie. Not sure where they are from. I used a stamp from SU and coloured it in with watercolours. The bats and the sentiment is from K&Co, the paperbeads are made from the same paper, and the ribbon, mini beads, bat buttons and pins are all from stash. A bit disorganised in my craft area. Had a clear out and recycled a lot of packaging,,,oups....anyways loved the challenge this week and will definitely be doing next weeks, since it's my last one before I start making DT cards...(Oh, did I mention I was excited...lol..) Have a good day!

Thought I would have a go at this challenge this week. Love sketches and had a little free time this afternoon. I have used a cute Annie (Sugar Nellie)stamp and one of my own stamps (Sugar Nellie - totally tattoos) and coloured them in with promarkers. I have used the cracked glass technique featured on the Sugar Sugar monthly challenge blog. Used papers from Making Memories and some ribbon and pins from stash. White cardstock from the Papermill in Aberdeen. Also made some paperbeads that are featured on the Sugar Sugar blog for the januari challenge. Sugar Sugar - Cracked Glass Technique
Have you seen the monthly Sugar Nellie technique challenge blog? It's got a new technique to learn every month and there is candy to be won. You can find the challenge here . I have done a card for the monthly challenge using two stamps, a cute Gorjuss image and one of my own designs from the Totally Tattoos range. I coloured them in with promarkers and have used the cracked glass technique on both of them. The DP are from Fancy Pants (by Michelle Coleman) and I tried another Sugar Sugar technique while I was at it. I made some paperbeads (fab tutorial by Marlene, have a look at this tutorial here . I also used some craft wire and a button from stash. Had a great time doing this challenge, it's so nice to learn some new things. This card is for my fantastic grandma that lives in finnish lapland and she is over 90 and just amazing. Hope she likes it. Have a good monday and thanks for visiting my blog.

Sketch saturday
Another fantastic sketch over at Sketch Saturday. I have been brave and used one of my own stamps today. This stamp is from my new line of stamps called "totally tattoos", they are tattoo inspired, but you don't have to be a tattoo fan to use them. I stamped this one and coloured it in with promarkers and used my little £1 alphabet cube to add some lettering. I used Making Memories DP and some ribbon and pearl headpins from stash. The background harlequin stamp is from Hero Arts. It's twice as big but I cut the image in half. Let me know what you think of the new stamps. They are avaliable over at Funky kits. Had a post not long ago introducing the stamps and a lovely lady said that the skulls would be great with the Gorjuss girls. What a good idea, and ofcourse I must make a card with Pirate Luca and incorporate some skulls. Oh, so much to do, so little time. Wouldn't it be great if there was a couple of more hours in the day. Anyways thanks for listening to my rant and have a great weekend.

Daring Cardmakers - Coz I'm a woman
This week over at Daring Cardmakers, the challenge is to make a creation for a woman. Very fitting since it's mothers day tomorrow. So, I have made a mothers day card with some lush Bo Bunny papers, just love the green and black combo. I used some black and green (Trimcraft and Anita's) ribbon and green pearly headpins. I coloured in a cute Gorjuss image with her little cat with promarkers. Black and white cardstock are from Aberdeen papermill. Am a busy bunny today, this is my third post, and I have more to come...phew...thanks for stopping by.
Tag You're It! Easy as 1-2-3!
My second week doing the Weekend Taggers challenge. This week it's a 1-2-3 challenge. You have to use 1 ribbon, 2 buttons and 3 eyelets or brads. I have used a cute Sugar Nellie Gorjuss stamp and coloured her in promarkers. I used two super mini heart buttons and three green eyelets and a ribbon from Trimcraft. The paper was given to me so I have no idea where they came from. If you know, let me know. Had to use them though, the green and yellow is such spring colours and now when the weather is getting better aswell, I feel all "springy"...lol...anyways have a good weekend and thanks for looking.

Papertake Weekly - Edible
Hope you are all having a nice wednesday. I am swamped with work so am a bit behind on my crafting. I managed to make a quick card this afternoon for this weeks PTW. The challenge is to make a card with something edible on it. Ofcourse being a Sugar Nellie designer, I have a mighty sweet tooth, so I have gone for cake! I have used DCWV Sweet stack DP, the sentiment and image is cut out from the DP aswell. Ribbon and stick on pearls from stash. Loving these papers, they are really thick good quality and nice and pre sparkled, so no need to fiddle with the glitter. I am off to do some more work. No rest for the wicked. Have a lovely evening and thanks for having a look.

Totally Tattoos by Sugar Nellie
Afternoon. Hope you all are having a nice day. I wanted to show you my new range of stamps that I have designed for Sugar Nellie. They are inspired of classic tattoo images, which I absolutely adore. These stamps are very versatile, since you can use whichever sentiment stamps you want on them. You don't have to be a tattoo fan to use these either. Had so much fun designing these and they are at a resonable price aswell sold as a sheet of rubber. These are avaliable at funky kits. I have lots of more coming up, I am constantly drawing for my sweet Sugar Nellie boss. There is lots to come this month at Sugar Nellie, think there might be more Gorjuss stamps ( I looove them) and some other stuff so go and check it out on the Sugar Nellie blog. And don't forget to join in at the Sugar Bowl fortnightly challenge, and the extra Sugar Sugar monthly challenge. (all the links are down my sidebar) I am going to have a go at that this week, there is some new techniques to learn, which I am always up for. Anyways let me know what you think of these stamps and what you would use them for. Have a good tuesday. Lots of hugs!

Cupcake challenge - Brown + 1
Another great challenge over at Cupcake. This week you have to choose a colour combo out of three, brown and pink, green or blue. I have chosen brown and green, reminds me of mint icecream with choc chip...yum....Anyhow I used another Gorjuss stamp from Sugar Nellie. They are sooo cute and the illustrator Susanne is sooo talented. I coloured the image in with promarkers as usual. I used some Trimcraft ribbon and a rose charm that I purchased in the local craftshop. Bargain that was since you can buy one at the time. I used DCWV papers (the sweet stack, hardly got any left, I looove them sooo!!)and that is about it. Loving the colour combo challenges at the moment. Well, I am away to work, I'll be back tomorrow with some more cards. Thanks for coming by.
Colour Create - 7 - Red and green
Just finished this card for this weeks Colour Create challenge. The colour combo this week is red and green. I saw that one of the DT members had made a xmas card, and I thought one less to do later on this year, so I went for it. I used two Magnolia images, coloured them in with promarkers. Used DP from Papermania and Contemporary christmas by Dovecraft, charm from Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin, ribbon from Trimcraft and some red from stash and little raindeer tree decorations that I bought in Tesco in january. Plain cardstock from Papermill in Aberdeen. Did a wee bit of dotting with my sakura pen to add some detail. Have a good monday!

Sketch Saturday - 42
Oh my, how the week has flown by. Can't believe it's sunday already. Here is a card I made last night for this weeks Sketch Saturday. I am absolutely addicted to plum and lilac papers, and when I saw these Daisy Bucket papers, I had to have them. (whimsical ladies they are called) Love that they are doublesided so you can use the same papers for a few cards and they still look different. I coloured a cute Annie stamp (Leanne Ellis at Sugar Nellie) with promarkers. Highlighted with sakura pen. Can't live without it!! Sentiment stamp is from SU, buttons and ribbon from stash. Prima mini me flowers and purple headpins from the local craft shop. Used some shiny purple and white cardstock from the Papermill in Aberdeen. Gonna try to get some more crafting done today, but it's quite nice outside so I am taking the family for a walk and a picnic (please don't rain!!) Have a good day and I'll be back laters.

Red Nose Day!
How much fun is Red Nose Day. There was a big event at the boys school and you got to get dressed up, instead of wearing your schooluniform, for £1. And ofcourse my boys are mad about dressing up, so they went for it. Well, one of them went for it BIGSTYLE. He heard that there was a price for the funnies dressup so he decided he was going to be a girl. And funny it was....red wig, fifties glasses and my neighbours little girls spanish rara dress...hilarious. My other son thought it was a bit silly and went for a modest batman costume. And what do you know, my son (or daughter...lol..) got the first price! It was sooo funny though, I got the girl I never had for a day, I put nailvarnish on him and lipstick. It was so much fun, but now it's time for the varnish remover. Have a good evening and thanks for looking. Hope it gave you a laugh!!
Daring cardmakers -Ready, Steady, Cook!
Hope you all are having a nice weekend. I am having a busy one as usual, no rest for the wicked. I managed to make a card for this weeks Daring Cardmakers challenge. The challenge is a crafty recipe. You have to follow it to qualify for the challenge.
Here are your ingredients:
3 different papers
At least one piece of chipboard
At least 1 button
At least 1 piece of ribbon
optional: 1 extra item/element of your choice
I used Bo Bunny DP, a heart chipboard shape (that I cut out and covered in paper and lots of ink), a green button that I purchased at the Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin. I also used ribbon from Trimcraft and for my extra item I chose to use a pearl headpin, also from the craft shop in Elgin. I used a cute Sugar Nellie Gorjuss stamped image and coloured her in with promarkers, did a bit of dotting with my white sakura pen around the edges of the image to add interest. Am really loving these Bo Bunny papers, they are so lush. And green and black is such a cool combo. Anyways have a good saturday and catch you tomorrow.

Friday Sketchers - 42
Found another interesting challenge blog. Over at Friday Sketchers, there is a sketch to follow with a lovely price attatched to it. I have never entered this challenge before but I thought I'd have a go. I have used DCWV DP (the sweet stack) and some ribbon and a charm from stash. The beads are seedbeads on a headpin, and this little chain was attached to a birthday present from my neighbour Donna, so I have recycled it. (Thank you Donna!) The image is Gorjuss (Sugar Nellie) and I am obsessed by these. I have coloured her in with Letraset promarkers. Decided to make a little tag using this sketch. I am away to have some dinner with my boys. Have a good week and thank you for having a nosy.
Tag You're It! Week 49 - Time for tea
Stumbled on this funky tag challenge blog Weekend Taggers. Am obsessed by making tags so I thought I'd have a go. This weeks challenge is "time for tea". I am so lucky, a very good friend gave me a gorgeous Annie with a giant cup of tea (Sugar Nellie ofcourse) stamped image yesterday, so I have used her. I coloured her in with Letraset promarkers, and some hightlights with a white sakura pen. The DP are DCWV (the sweet stack) and the sentiment and the cupcake images are just cut out from the DP. The ribbons are from stash. The brown paperstock I got in the Papermill in Aberdeen. Had so much fun with this, will be back next week. Have a good weekend and thanks for looking. Hugs Eva x.
Doubledutch challenges - 13 - On a Roll
Can't believe I missed last fortnights Double Dutch, shame on me!!! Anyways I have managed to get this fortnight challenge sorted. The challenge is to decorate a toilet roll. I have used DCWV DP (the sweet stack), just got these papers today and have nearly used a third up already..looove them... have been eyeing them up for a couple of weeks. They are all glittered and scrummy. I have used ribbon from Trimcraft and some white ribbon and headpins from stash. I coloured a cute Gorjuss (Sugar Nellie) stamp in with promarkers. The strawberry stamp is a freebie from a mag I have had for ages, can't remember which one, sorry, but it was a good few months ago. Had a great time, as always, taking part in this DD challenge and can't wait for the next. Thanks for popping by.
