Sketch saturday - 27

Evening. Yet another challenge that have caught my eye. I just had to enter. I have used "christmas wishes" by DCWV, and coloured a cute hanglar stamp with promarkers.Ribbon and thread from stash. Sentiment cut out from the papers. Sorry about the rubbish photo though.Had a lovely day, went for morning coffee at my friend Helenas house and then went to give quotes for a couple of murals and then I brought the boys to play with a pal and I had a lovely dinner with his mum. Spicy curry, yum yum. I am so full!! She always spoils us rotten when we go over, was so fully I (nearly) couldn't finish my icecream after (yeah right...lol..) Having a quiet one tomorrow doing some diy with hubby, so hopefully I can get a little bit of crafting in. Have a good weekend. Hugs Eva!

Stripy tin

This is a tin I made for my friend Lisa's niece Lauren. She is in primary 6 or 7 I think so it had to be a bit more grown up than the other tins I have made recently. The tin was a freebie from work and I have used DCWV rosetinted christmas papers and handcut flowers out of the papers and handcut some scrolls aswell. Buttons from stash. I know I made a mistake not using darker papers on the font but I have given the tin to her already so can't do anything about it. It would be nice if the font stood out more but she liked it anyway. I suppose you learn all the time, even more when you make something and realise some of it wasn't the way you wanted...oh well, practise makes perfect. Sorry about the rubbish photos, my hubby had the camera today again. He keeps on taking photos when he stops for a break when he is out in his van. Typical...I neeed that camera...lol...Can't believe the weekend is already here. Got a busy day tomorrow, going to a pal's for another mural quote (had two this week already..jikes!) and then taking the boys to play at another friends house and she is making her famous spicy curry...I am so lucky...Martina you are such a good cook. I am well gonna steal all her recipes...lol....anyways have a good one, I know you all are sitting up in the small hours crafting like myself...lol...see you tomorrow.xxxxx

Nellie gift bag

Evening. Hope you are all well. I have been very busy the last few days, and not been able to do a lot of projects. Managed to fit a couple in. Here is a gift bag (that I made in a hurry) for a friend of mine. She has been very kind to me lately and given me some very good advice, so today I went to see her and gave her this little giftbag with chocolates in.

I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp. ( www.funkykits.co.uk )It feels a bit wierd but I have used one of my own designs, crochet Nellie. I have never used my own stamps before, I haven't got that many so I decided to give it a go. Mwah. She was really easy to colour in though...lol...I have coloured her in with water colour pens (really quickly as you can tell) on textured paper to make it look distressed) and I have used brown cardstock from Aberdeen papermill and Basic Grey archaic papers. Ribbon from stash.

She really liked the bag and the chocolates. I had to parcel them up quickly so I wasn't tempted to eat all the goodies myself...hahahh...have a good evening.

Cute card thursday - 38

Had a busy day today, went to Aberdeen to attempt to do some xmas shopping...hrmmm...ended up getting a couple of pressies and some clothes for my works
night out week on saturday. Need to sort the hair do now. Mwah!!

Here is my entry for this weeks Cute card thursday. The challenge is to create a card using the colour lilac. I have used a cute Tilda stamp and coloured her in with letraset promarkers. The scroll border is from rosetinted christmas by DCWV, the other papers were a gift and didn't come with a label so have no idea what they are, sorry. If anyone knows, let me know. :)

The fibres are some black/white yarn I got from the local woolenshop. The sentiment I just wrote on a matching paper and cut out and layered on black paper from the papermill in Aberdeen. Have a good thursday and see you tomorrow. Thanks for looking.

PTW - Dawny's Sketch #3

Finished my third monday challenge this afternoon. It's another fantastic sketch by Dawny. I have used DCWV "christmas whishes" papers, red cardstock from the local papermill and a Tilda stamp that I have coloured in with promarkers and added a bit of glamour dust for detail. Green thread from stash. Really enjoyed this challenge. As you can see I have a thing for layered cards. A lot of cutting and sticking but makes the card look great as a finished product. I am just learning and experiementing at the moment and really loving it. Have to go and make a snack for all my boys. Have a good tuesday. Thanks for stopping by.

Cupcake craft challenge 15- sweets and treats

Monday morning and here is my first creation for one of my monday challenges. Here I have made a card using "sweet nothings" papers by Papermania. I cut a little slot out to put some papersweeties in(should really be "real" ones...)Quite a plain card but I do love the candy stripy papers. This is for this weeks Cupcake craft challenge. The inspiration was "sweets and cakes". Not hard for those with a sweet tooth...anyways, love all their challenges and the cards by the DT are always great. Have a good monday and tune in tomorrow for some more challenges. Hugs!

My first hanglar card

Here I have been lucky to get a shot of one of my pal's Hanglar/Stanglar stamps. They are very cute, very swedish. I really like this one with the candle. Used promarkers again and a mix of papers; the christmas tree one is Contemporary christmas by Dovecraft and the distressed looking plain colour ones are from archaic by basic greay (the dinosaur one), ribbon and flower embellishment from stash. I wanted the background colours to be quite dard so it would create a christmassy atmosphere on the card with the little boy with the lantern. Have to figure out who is getting this card for christmas. Have loads now, but not decided who will get which...hahah...suppose I should concentrate on doing some christmas shopping...it's nearly december...PANIC!! Hahah...no my kids get one big present each on christmas and a few smaller ones. I am not one to go mad at christmas. It's more about family and being together and having a good time, and stuffing our faces!!! I always make a swedish christmas lunch for Tom's family (his mum, dad and 4;5 of his brothers) That is one thing I really miss from Sweden, the food. Specially on the 13th of december, when we celebrate Lucia in Sweden and eat "lussebullar". Have a look at my bloggerpal Ankis recipe for these yummy buns! Swedish lucia buns Have a good weekend.

Tilda with present

Evening. Not a very nice evening tonight. Was ment to go to a local school to hold a stall at a fair, but the roads were so bad beyond Aberlour (nearest "big village" to where I live) I didn't want to chance it. It's pure ice on the roads at the moment. So I am pleased I never went. Someone went off the road just along the road from the place where I was supposed to go, so it was all for the best to stay put. Boys are still ill, coughing and feverish. Baby Jed is a lot better, but now 100%. Hubby came home early from work today, so it was great to get some help with the patients....lol...poor little things. Have made a couple of cards this evening. This is a Tilda that I stamped and coloured in with promarkers and ofcourse a little bit of glamourdust on the wings. (ooohhh, aaahhh..love that glamour dust..) Papers are again Rosetinted christmas. This is a stand up card with a pull out flap at the back to make it stand up. Loving all this years contemporary christmas papers. Pink is the new red!!

Cute card thursday - 37

I have taken on another weekly challenge. Have looked at this one for a few weeks, but since I am very busy at the moment I found it hard to commit to another challenge weekly. But couldn't help myself with this one. They always have really good challenges and amazing prizes. After the christmas holidays I am gonna be soooo busy, but I hope I will still get to do my weekly challenges.

Here I have coloured in a cute winter Tilda with promarkers. I have put a wee bit of glamour dust (thank you to my very good pal that have introduced me to this ammmmaaazing lazered glitter!!) on her wings and cuffs. I have used DCWV christmas whishes papers (...again..hardly got any left...lol..)and the stamp for "holiday hello" is from Stampin up. The snowflakes was given to me by my kids from some of their stash...lol...They demanded that I used them, so I have. I also used some of my pals Stampin up punches. Loved the challenge, looking forward to next thursdays one. Have a good thursday. I am away to organise, have a stall with my Usbourne books this evening in a local school, so better sort it out. Lots of love!!

hand rolled xmas tree card

Hi! Got a load of kids at home ill from school today...all 3 is home...jikes! They have cold/cough/fever. Typical for this time of year...have been reading books and playing games with the boys all day...but managed to do one card...and it was a fiddly one. I have handrolled bits of scrap paper and glued them on top of each other to create a layered effect. Rest of the card is very plain but didn't want to make it too busy. Took a bit of time but was pleased with the result. Have a few orders for these cards from pal's of mine...better start on them now, gonna take a few days...hahahah...my partner has just come home from his work, so I will get a hand with these boys. Having crafty night tonight with my pals. Wonder if my lovely pal will let me raid her stamp box...AGAIN...lol....gonna order some punches from Stampin up (my pal is a demonstrator) Just love the scalloped edge punch. Didn't know this but noone else does them except stampin up (similar maybe but not this one). My pal told me the other day. Am loving scalloped everything...nestabilities is the next on my "to buy" list, alond with a cuttlebug machine ofcourse (so I can use the nestabilities...doh!!)Please santa, I have been really good.....

Windy weather.

Today is not a very nice day. It's really windy and snow/raining...don't really know which one. We are due a blizard tomorrow night...ek!! Anyways this Tilda stamp is perfect for a day like this. I have coloured her in with promarkers. (favorite!!)Have taken a real liking to the Magnolias, they are really cute and come in all different positions, love the sitting ones. Tilda are swedish aswell..(ofcourse..ahahahah...anyways..have a good day!

Our home

Here is a plaque I have made for our living room. I have used the cricut machine to cut out the letters and shapes. I used a bit of scrap wallpaper, same as the one I have on the featurewall in my living room.Simple project and doesn't have to be a "home" sign. I have also made ones for my boys bedrooms for example. Got another couple of pix to post so....

Flower tin for a special girl.

I am such a sucker for tins. Bad thing is they are hard to get where I live. Here is one I have made using a empty biscuit tin I got from my work. Whohoo...picked up about 10 tins the other day...for free....bargain of the month! Tins are so versatile, you can decorate them in so many ways and they make a brilliant gift in it self or filled with chocolate or pretty things for a little girl etc. The flowers, I just folded the petals in half to make them stand out. My pal was very pleased and surprised when I gave the tin for her niece. It's the best thing ever when you give something that you have spent time and love doing and they really like it. Priceless!!!

Let it snow!

This PTW challenge is "let it snow", you can use anything related, snowmen, snowflakes etc. I have made a card with pink christmas papers. (rosetinted christmas by DCWV. I have handstamped the sentiments on the inside tag and cut out the name on the front using my cricut machine and the "Stamped" cartridge. Fibers are from stash and the buttons aswell. The little felt snowflakes are from the kids activity and art bit in Tescos. (!!)The card is for a friend's niece. She is a lovely pretty girl, but she is suffering from cancer, so my friend asked me if I'd make her a special christmas card. Last christmas she was in hospital having an operation so this year will be specail. She is such a brave little girl and I hope her all the best in the new year. Lots of love, Robyn.

Cupcake craft challenge 14- sketch by Rosetta

Hi everyone. Hope you have had a good start to the week. I have been making things like a demon with all my new stash. Here is my entry for this weeks cupcake challenge. I have used Dovecraft "Contemporary christmas" papers. These were quite hard to used since there is sooo much going on on them, but they are very nice and I love the santas and the reindeer. In the challenge you also have to use atleast one scalloped edge, which I have done. And you also have to incorporate the colour brown in your creation. So I have used lots of brown ink round the edges of...everything...lol...and I have also handcut some brown scroll type patterns and glued them on with a bit of glitter on. For the tree on the main image I have used a 3D sticker that came as a freebie from a Papercrafts magazine. Have a good tuesday!

Pink birdhouse

I just couldn't resist this little wooden birdhouse! Had to have it!! So here is before and after pictures. Decided to go for candy box colours. It will look lovely in my kitchen window. (kitchen is black and white)It was really fiddely to decorate and I am not 100% finished with it. Gonna have some cutout flowers trailing down on the roof and some birdies aswell but I am waiting for some dies to do it, so just to get an idea of what it will be when it's totally finished. Had a good time doing this and think it's a great gift for someone special. Even better if you personalised it. Gonna go and buy some more definitely, they come in all shapes and sizes and for £5 a piece, you are in for a bargain. Hope you like it. Have a good evening.
