Wohoo...
Challenges are up and running again over at
Squiggle stamps, and finally I have nagged myself into the design team. :) There will be a challenge every fortnight on a sunday. Very exciting. You can win a £15 voucher in the
Squiggle shop, and there is an extra treat for the top three!
This fortnight the theme is 'ribbons and roses'. I have made two little DT projects for this challenge.
Was so excited I couldn't help myself. :)
I decided to do a very girly princess door hanger for my first project. I have used Rose Impressions DP from The paper company studio. I used my my SU double punch for the bunting and the scalloped edge at the bottom, also my Cricut machine for the lettering on it (Stamped). I printed out the "my princess" on my Mac and used some bling from the local craft shop.
The roses are spirals I cut out and gathered up with a tiny knitting pin and glued. The images I have used are
Castle and
Princess Daisy. Ribbon is from the local craft shop again. The tiny butterflies I had in my stash, think it's freebies from buying die cut shapes from Ebay.
Entering this project in these challenges;
Creatalicious Challenges - Bingo (anything but a square card, ribbon, monochromatic)
Dutch Dare - Shaped cards
Cute Card Thursday - A touch of sparkle
I love Promarkers - Anything goes
For my other project I decided to go mad with roses. I made a layered card using DP from My Minds Eye ( Miss Caroline by Jan Allyson) Absolutely love these spring coloured papers. Did a lot of inking and used an emery board ( cheaper than getting sanders from the craft shop) to distress the edges.
I used heaps of roses which I bought in the local craft shop. The ribbon is also from there as well as the hat pins. The pearls all came in one pack, they came from Habico. (Got to love that they are all colour cordinating!!) The sentiment is from SU. I also used punches from Su for the sentiment and the scalloped border.
The image I used is called
Miss Ruby Roses. It's one of my own designs which I have never used before but must say she was fun to colour in. And I thought since the challenge is ribbons and roses it would be appropriate to use her. I coloured her in with Pro Markers, my favs.
Thank you so much for popping by. We also have a brand new
Squiggle Stamps FB page. Please have a nosy and like us. Hope to see you joining in with us for this challenge.
Have a good sunday.
