Daring cardmakers - 10 minute christmas card

What a challenge this was. A fabulous card in 10 minutes....Ek! Fortunately I am very fast at colouring in. (manic colouring...that sais it all!)I hav coloured a Tilda in with promarkers, don't look to close, it's a bit rough around the edges...lol...I used "christmas wishes" by DCWV. Ribbon from stash and cute wooden shape from panduro in Sweden. (god jul means merry christmas in swedish)Had a great time with this challenge but it was a squeeze timewise, but that is what challenges are for! Thanks for looking!

Sketch saturday - 29/Papertake weekly

Sorry I have been a bit of a bad blogger. Had so much to do, it's just madness the last few weeks before christmas. I have just about managed to sort out my challenges for the week amongst all the other things I had to do. This card is a very pinky one and I am entering it in two challenges, Sketch saturday and Papertake weekly. The sketch is by Sketch saturday and the challenge for PTW is monocrome. You can only use one colour so I have gone for PINK! The buttons are from stash as well as the pinky fibres. The white cardstock is from the papermill in Aberdeen. I have coloured in a cute wintery Tilda, all in pink ofcourse. Promarkers as usual. The papers are from K&Co, Amy Butler's Belle. Have a good evening.

Cute card thursday - 40

Oooh...am a bit late this week with all my challenges. Had a mad week getting last bits and bobs ready for christmas and a busy weekend with the village christmas party. Went to see my hubby play with his band last night aswell but came home early...am such a party pooper..haha! Here is my entry for the cute card thursday challenge. The challenge is to use punches. I made this minibook card this week at craft night. I have made loads of similar minibooks like these before and I really like them. I am giving this one to my pal, she is gonna put some pix of her brood in there and send it to her mum as a christmas card. I have used Winterwonderland papers again and two different snowflake punches, two nesting tag punches from Stampin up and a scalloped punch. (sorry there is one diecut on the front, a big snowflake...) Plain textured paper from papermill in Aberdeen. Buttons from stash, gems from Papercraft boutique in Elgin and sentiments were printed out by my pal on her PC. There, one sorted, two to go. Have got hundreds to do so have to go. Have a good sunday and I'll be here later on tonight....lots of love Eva.

Oh, I used my eyelet tool for the top of the bouble. Had a great time making this challenge, there is always something new and interesting every fortnight at DDC. Have a look. There is a link down the side of my blog. Have a good wednesday!

sketch saturday - 28

Hi again. Have got loooads of housework to do but just had to do the sketch challenge at Sketch saturday! It's another lovely sketch this week and the prize is really cute aswell for a lucky someone. I have yet again used a Tilda image that I have coloured in with promarkers and highlighted with my white Sakura pen. I have used Prima "perfect panda" papers and some alphabet beads for the sentiment. I know it's a bit "wild and unusual" for a xmas card but I love the cranberry colours...makes me think of my christmas dinner...lol...Why don't you have a look at the challenges on "sketch saturday". I have learned loads from there. Have a good day.

Cute card thursday - 39/Daring cardmakers/CCC 18

Hi. Sorry no post for days, have had a manic week trying to finish my christmas shopping. Nearly done, but the town is just crazy. So busy you can hardly walk in the shops. I have made ONE (shock, horror) in 4 days and here it is. I have used a cute Tilda image that I couloured in with my promarkers and highlighted with my new sakura pen (loving it!!) Have used white cardstock from Aberdeen papermill and blue Winterwonderland papers from Dovecraft. Heart brads from stash (have no idea where they came from...oups..)The snowflake charm I bought in local craft shop Papercrafts boutique in Elgin. They have a assortment with lovely charms so I had to get some. For Cute card thursday the inspiration was hearts so I have put some white heartbrads on my xmas card. For daring cardmakers challenge the challenge was getting something from your home and using it as inspiration. This was also the challenge for this weeks Cupcake craft challenge.So I have incorporated 3 challenges in one...cheeky me! I have used two really old duvet covers that I found in the back of the cupboard. I have used the colour as inspiration and the lighter coloured cover has a kind of snow effect on it so I thought that would be great for inspiration. Have a good day!

Cupcake craft challenge - vintage

Right up my street this challenge was!! Was over the moon when I read it on the Cupcake challenge blog yesterday. The inspiration is "vintage", the card doesn't all have to be vintage as long as there is an element of it on the card. I have chosen to use a classic vintage tattoo style image, that I drew up and coloured in. The papers are just fabric pictures printed on my computer since I can't find cherry and gingham papers anywhere in my area. It's sooo rockabilly!!! Had a ball doing this one. Am looking for a good site to download papers from, so if any of you know, let me know. Have ordered about 5 paperstacks on Ebay, hoping they will come before next monday for the next challenge...lol...have a good tuesday!

PTW - Ready, steady, craft!

Another fun challenge at PTW this week. This week it's craft recipe time. The ingredients were;
* 1 ribbon
* 2 rectangles
* 3 small round embellishments
I have used dovecraft winter wonderland papers and matching brads and a lacy ribbon from stash. Navy and white textured card stock from the papermill in Aberdeen. Had a great time making this. Cut out the blue ornate tree from these papers for the main image. Have a good day!

Sketch saturday - 27

Evening. Yet another challenge that have caught my eye. I just had to enter. I have used "christmas wishes" by DCWV, and coloured a cute hanglar stamp with promarkers.Ribbon and thread from stash. Sentiment cut out from the papers. Sorry about the rubbish photo though.Had a lovely day, went for morning coffee at my friend Helenas house and then went to give quotes for a couple of murals and then I brought the boys to play with a pal and I had a lovely dinner with his mum. Spicy curry, yum yum. I am so full!! She always spoils us rotten when we go over, was so fully I (nearly) couldn't finish my icecream after (yeah right...lol..) Having a quiet one tomorrow doing some diy with hubby, so hopefully I can get a little bit of crafting in. Have a good weekend. Hugs Eva!

Stripy tin

This is a tin I made for my friend Lisa's niece Lauren. She is in primary 6 or 7 I think so it had to be a bit more grown up than the other tins I have made recently. The tin was a freebie from work and I have used DCWV rosetinted christmas papers and handcut flowers out of the papers and handcut some scrolls aswell. Buttons from stash. I know I made a mistake not using darker papers on the font but I have given the tin to her already so can't do anything about it. It would be nice if the font stood out more but she liked it anyway. I suppose you learn all the time, even more when you make something and realise some of it wasn't the way you wanted...oh well, practise makes perfect. Sorry about the rubbish photos, my hubby had the camera today again. He keeps on taking photos when he stops for a break when he is out in his van. Typical...I neeed that camera...lol...Can't believe the weekend is already here. Got a busy day tomorrow, going to a pal's for another mural quote (had two this week already..jikes!) and then taking the boys to play at another friends house and she is making her famous spicy curry...I am so lucky...Martina you are such a good cook. I am well gonna steal all her recipes...lol....anyways have a good one, I know you all are sitting up in the small hours crafting like myself...lol...see you tomorrow.xxxxx

Nellie gift bag

Evening. Hope you are all well. I have been very busy the last few days, and not been able to do a lot of projects. Managed to fit a couple in. Here is a gift bag (that I made in a hurry) for a friend of mine. She has been very kind to me lately and given me some very good advice, so today I went to see her and gave her this little giftbag with chocolates in.

I have used a Sugar Nellie stamp. ( www.funkykits.co.uk )It feels a bit wierd but I have used one of my own designs, crochet Nellie. I have never used my own stamps before, I haven't got that many so I decided to give it a go. Mwah. She was really easy to colour in though...lol...I have coloured her in with water colour pens (really quickly as you can tell) on textured paper to make it look distressed) and I have used brown cardstock from Aberdeen papermill and Basic Grey archaic papers. Ribbon from stash.

She really liked the bag and the chocolates. I had to parcel them up quickly so I wasn't tempted to eat all the goodies myself...hahahh...have a good evening.

Cute card thursday - 38

Had a busy day today, went to Aberdeen to attempt to do some xmas shopping...hrmmm...ended up getting a couple of pressies and some clothes for my works
night out week on saturday. Need to sort the hair do now. Mwah!!

Here is my entry for this weeks Cute card thursday. The challenge is to create a card using the colour lilac. I have used a cute Tilda stamp and coloured her in with letraset promarkers. The scroll border is from rosetinted christmas by DCWV, the other papers were a gift and didn't come with a label so have no idea what they are, sorry. If anyone knows, let me know. :)

The fibres are some black/white yarn I got from the local woolenshop. The sentiment I just wrote on a matching paper and cut out and layered on black paper from the papermill in Aberdeen. Have a good thursday and see you tomorrow. Thanks for looking.

PTW - Dawny's Sketch #3

Finished my third monday challenge this afternoon. It's another fantastic sketch by Dawny. I have used DCWV "christmas whishes" papers, red cardstock from the local papermill and a Tilda stamp that I have coloured in with promarkers and added a bit of glamour dust for detail. Green thread from stash. Really enjoyed this challenge. As you can see I have a thing for layered cards. A lot of cutting and sticking but makes the card look great as a finished product. I am just learning and experiementing at the moment and really loving it. Have to go and make a snack for all my boys. Have a good tuesday. Thanks for stopping by.

DDC#6 - Sketch it!/Daring cardmakers - white with a splash of pink

This fortnights Double Dutch challenge is here and as usual it is a brilliant one. This time it's a sketch and I have made mine this morning, using "rosetinted christmas" papers (DCWV) and a lovely Hanglar stamp (thanks again my friend for letting me raid your huuuuge stamp box...lol) AND...I have been receiving an award from the lovely team of Double Dutch Challenges. I have been doing the challenges from the start and they are sending me a little reward for my loyalty...how sweet ist that? I am sooo excited! Can't wait for that little parcel to arrive, let you know what it is when I get it...I just love surprises! Cupcake craft challenge 15- sweets and treats

Monday morning and here is my first creation for one of my monday challenges. Here I have made a card using "sweet nothings" papers by Papermania. I cut a little slot out to put some papersweeties in(should really be "real" ones...)Quite a plain card but I do love the candy stripy papers. This is for this weeks Cupcake craft challenge. The inspiration was "sweets and cakes". Not hard for those with a sweet tooth...anyways, love all their challenges and the cards by the DT are always great. Have a good monday and tune in tomorrow for some more challenges. Hugs!

My first hanglar card

Here I have been lucky to get a shot of one of my pal's Hanglar/Stanglar stamps. They are very cute, very swedish. I really like this one with the candle. Used promarkers again and a mix of papers; the christmas tree one is Contemporary christmas by Dovecraft and the distressed looking plain colour ones are from archaic by basic greay (the dinosaur one), ribbon and flower embellishment from stash. I wanted the background colours to be quite dard so it would create a christmassy atmosphere on the card with the little boy with the lantern. Have to figure out who is getting this card for christmas. Have loads now, but not decided who will get which...hahah...suppose I should concentrate on doing some christmas shopping...it's nearly december...PANIC!! Hahah...no my kids get one big present each on christmas and a few smaller ones. I am not one to go mad at christmas. It's more about family and being together and having a good time, and stuffing our faces!!! I always make a swedish christmas lunch for Tom's family (his mum, dad and 4;5 of his brothers) That is one thing I really miss from Sweden, the food. Specially on the 13th of december, when we celebrate Lucia in Sweden and eat "lussebullar". Have a look at my bloggerpal Ankis recipe for these yummy buns! Swedish lucia buns Have a good weekend.

Tilda with present

Evening. Not a very nice evening tonight. Was ment to go to a local school to hold a stall at a fair, but the roads were so bad beyond Aberlour (nearest "big village" to where I live) I didn't want to chance it. It's pure ice on the roads at the moment. So I am pleased I never went. Someone went off the road just along the road from the place where I was supposed to go, so it was all for the best to stay put. Boys are still ill, coughing and feverish. Baby Jed is a lot better, but now 100%. Hubby came home early from work today, so it was great to get some help with the patients....lol...poor little things. Have made a couple of cards this evening. This is a Tilda that I stamped and coloured in with promarkers and ofcourse a little bit of glamourdust on the wings. (ooohhh, aaahhh..love that glamour dust..) Papers are again Rosetinted christmas. This is a stand up card with a pull out flap at the back to make it stand up. Loving all this years contemporary christmas papers. Pink is the new red!!
