This was a challenge and a half. They sure keep you on your toes over at the Sugar Bowl. This fortnights challenge was to create a christmas card (!) using your Sugar Nellie stamps. I rooted out some DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas papers and used one of my own stamps (that'll be the first!) Crochet Nellie. I coloured her in with watercolours and used some Trimcraft ribbon, brilliant headpins and white cardstock from the papermill in Aberdeen. Quite a plain card, but I am short of supplies and will be heading to the local craftshop sharply to stock up. I have only got a few of my own stamps, (that is terrible isn't in)but got loads of new stamps in the pipeline, watch this space. Got some more drawings for my sweet Sugar Nellie boss, so hopefully she'll like them. Have a good weekend. Hugs Eva.x

Afternoon. Hope you all have had a good day. I have managed to make one card today. Am busy editing some new stamp images for my Sugar Nellie boss. The card I have made today is for this weeks PTW. There is a sketch this week made by Dawny. She always makes great sketches. I have used a cute Magnolia Tilda image and coloured her in with Letraset promarker with highlights with sakura pen. Stamped the sentiment with my (nearly worn out!) alphabet cube that I bought in the Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin. The hearts I handcut. The white cardstock is from the Papermill in Aberdeen and the DP are from K&Co, Classic K Bailey. Have to get down to the local crafts shop and stock up. Am desperate for some new gear. Anyways thanks for stopping by and have a good day.
Got some news for you knit and crochet fans. My super talented pal Helena has now got a blog with all her creations on it. Helena lives up in the Highlands, about 10 minutes from my house. She has been making things for years. Sewing, knitting, upholstering, crochet, you name it, she can do it. I convinced her to make a blog and now I think she is hooked...lol. The blog is called Wicked knits and the logo is designed by her arty son Cameron. She also has an Ebay shop. I am sure she will make you some customised cuties if you ask nicely. ( I have done that a few times now, I am her best customer...lol..)Here is some pictures of some of her creations. You can check out her new blog here!

Here is a card I have made for this weeks Spoonfull challenge. The challenge is to use other shapes than just the rectangle or square we often do when we make cards. I used a cute decoupage (not usually fond of decoupage because all the cutting, but this one just punches out!) It is from Morehead. The sentiment I stamped with my wee alphabet cube that I got in Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin. My fav shop. Have a good tuesday and thank again to all the lovely ladies that visit my blog and put lots of nice comments on my posts. Hugs Eva.

Another fun challenge at Double dutch this fortnight. The challenge is to make anything BUT a card. I had to ponder on this a little bit and remembered a project I was meaning to do at the xmas holidays. So I did it for the challenge. I bought a frame from Tesco's in the xmas sales. It's really deep so it's ideal to decorate. I have used "little ones" paper from Deja Views. The pad has lots of punch outs so I used a lot of them. The frame is for a photo of my smallest son Jed. Unfortunately my printer is in limbo so I haven't put a picture of him in the frame yet. ( you'd think anyone that has a hubby that fixes printers and pc's for a living would have no broken electicals in the house...but ooohhh nnoooo...) Anyways had lots of fun doing this. That is why Double Dutch is so much fun. You never know what kind of challenge they are going to come up with each fortnight. I am always excited when a new challenge is up. And there is always beautiful DT cards and the prize for the best creation is always lush. This week the prize looks AMAZING....wonder who the lucky one is going to be. Anyways thanks for popping by and can't wait to see what the DD team come up with next challenge. Good night...I am away to my bed.
Afternoon. Up here in the sticks there is still a lot of snow and it's freezing. Yesterday it was -15...brrrr....anyways haven't left the house today, so got some cards done. Here is my second card of today and I have incorporated two challenges in one card. At PTW there is another fantastic sketch by Dawny. And over at A Spoonfull of Sugar the challenge was "Doodle Doo", to include some doodling of doodle/flourish type stamps on your card. I have used a Tilda image ( teehhee I know it's a xmas one but I have hidden the "merry xmas"...what a fibber I am)and coloured her in with promarkers and highlights with a sakura pen. I have used fantasy papers by Dovecraft and Venetian Skies by Papermania. )I used buttons and embellishments from my stash. (and probably got them sparklies from my kiddies craft cupboard...lol...I did a bit of doodling and wrote the sentiment with my sakura fineliner.
Here is a card I have made for this weeks CCC, and the challenge this week is "make a scene". I used some scrap papers( sorry have no idea where they are from, if you know please tell) I bought them ages ago in the Papercrafts Boutique in Elgin. Think the paperstrip that I have tore is Dovecraft Retro Flowers. (Bought that online)All the ribbons are Anita's, the flowers are prima. I used some little shiny flowers from Tesco's craft isle. Some stick on pearls from Ebay and a wordtile that was a freebie from a mag. Pink and green cardstock from Papermill in Aberdeen. I drew the image and the background and coloured them in with promarkers and highlighted with sakura pen. My fav challenge is definitely to make a scene. Thanks for looking. Have a good day!

OOOhhhh...this was daring alright. This weeks challenge at Daring cardmakers is to make an oriental card but not to use the colours black and red. It was really hard but fun aswell. I have used papers from Prima (Perfect Panda) and K&Co (Sparkly sweet) and Bo Bunny (mint dot). The folded circle flowers I cut out with a Stampin Up punch. The little stick on pearls I got from Ebay. Chinese sentiments were cut out from the Prima papers. I drew the little geisha girl and colured her in with promarkers and highlighted with sakura pen. Have a good sunday and thanks for stopping by!
